Start of Drilling for the First Exploration Well at the “Karaton Podsolevoy” Block

In the Atyrau Region, Zhylyoi District, drilling has commenced for the SG-8 exploration well at the Karaton Podsolevoy subsurface block. The project aims to reach a target depth of 5,500 (+/-250) meters, involving high formation pressures, elevated temperatures, and a high hydrogen sulfide content, making it one of the most technologically challenging projects in the region.

Omac Integrated LLP has joined the professional team providing drilling fluid service support for the project.

The implementation of the SG-8 project marks an important stage in geological exploration and contributes to strengthening technological competencies in drilling deep and complex wells in Kazakhstan.
