Strategic Project and Technological Innovations: Drilling of Well PZ-1 and Implementation of a Heat-Resistant Drilling Fluid System
In May 2024, drilling began on the PZ-1 exploration well with a total depth of 5,500 meters at the Turgay Paleozoic structure in the Kyzylorda Region. The operations are being carried out under highly challenging conditions, including an unknown geological profile, high formation pressures and temperatures, and the presence of hydrogen sulfide, which imposes stringent requirements on drilling fluid systems.
Simultaneously with the project execution, our team is implementing its own innovative development — a high-temperature water-based drilling fluid system designed to operate at bottomhole temperatures above 180 °C and under high formation pressure conditions
